Web Content Analysis

Web Content Analysis aims to provide high-quality, targeted information from massive data on the Internet through automatic or computer-assisted analytical technologies. Student will get familiar with theories, models, and technologies for conducting Web content analysis. Student may choose to work on a specific question or domain to practise on technologies to develop high-quality information products for information users. Student may participate in Dr. Chen's related research project(s) Web Content Analysis and collaborate with other project members to develop/evaluate automatic analytical tools,

Possible areas of interest in Web Content Analysis:

(1) Theories and models for automatic content analysis;

(2) The application of natural language processing in Web Content Analysis;

(3) Web Content Analysis tools;

(4) Blog analysis in specific domains;
