Cross Language Question Answering

General Information

This project aims at building a Cross Language Question Answering System which can automatically find answers from the documents that are written in a language different from users’ natural language questions.  The system will extend the capability of our TREC 2004 EagleQA system to English-Chinese and Chinese-English Cross Lingual Question Answering.  The new system will participate in NTCIR-5 CLQA evaluation. Please read our TREC 2004 paper and visit trec.nist.gov for more information on automatic question answering research. If you are interested in joining our team, please contact Dr. Jiangping Chen (jpchen@unt.edu). Thanks.
